The art of paper folding from Japan using paper or cloth materials is usually square. You may have heard of this, ori which means "folding", and kami (or gami) means "paper" is the traditional art of paper folding which evolved into a modern art form.

Times have changed in such a way in Japan that you can enjoy expertise in the tradition of paper folding which is then processed into various forms of living things, such as cranes or herons, horses, elephants, and other forms of flowers or other imaginative forms.

Now, that skill enters another world, the culinary world, and it is quite unimaginable before, quoting the sites CNN Indonesia, September 6, the beauty of origami is now not only to be seen with the eye, but you also can eat that forms from different unique creations.

As is known later, a Twitter user from Japan, @key_daisuki and his father combines origami techniques with art of cooking.

Indeed, it was an interesting story, when Daisuki came home, his father made dumpling siomay as a dinner, as featured on the Rocket News website, his father apparently wanted his son to get a special meal.

The surprise came from a father's unique idea, instead of the ready-to-eat dumplings in the restaurant, the father made his own siomay stuff and wrapped it in wonton skin.

What a surprise!

Do you know what the father did? He mixed the seafood dough with flour and loaded it into the wonton skin.

Unexpected events, they ran out of stuffing while wonton skin still left a lot, the father had an idea that just came. He combines dumplings with the origami artwork, solely after seeing the dumpling skin like a piece of paper that can be folded and used as a work of origami.

You can imagine on your dining table a work of origami with an intricate birds fold form, wonton skin become a crane, he also fry it into a crisp fried wonton.

It's delicious, and the wonton of this crisp origami crane looks very unique and intriguing.

It must be admitted that the shape of the origami crane is the most iconic design, but Daisuki's father also makes other paper folds with shuriken or ninja-style weapons, and other forms.

No one suspects, when Daisuki uploaded wonton origami made by the father actually brings inspiration for many other culinary lovers.

Do not be surprised if one day you stop at a Japanese restaurant, there is a delicious dish of fried wonton crunchy with other origami shapes, say 'helmet hats' of samurai with edamame stuffing (Japanese soy), ham, cheese, crab stick, onion, and other vegetables into the wonton.
