Swiss government develop tourism in the 4 destinations in Indonesia

Interesting collaboration between the Swiss and the Indonesian government, which covers tourism development grants in four locations, namely the Island of Flores -NTT, Tanjung Puting -Central Kalimantan, Toraja -South Sulawesi and Wakatobi -Southeast Sulawesi.

This occurred after the signing of a memorandum of understanding reached cooperation related to the development of tourist destinations, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Mari Elka Pangestu and Swiss Economy Minister, Johann Schnerider-Amman representing the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland Confederation (SECO) in Jakarta, Monday, October 28, 2013.

"Through SECO which is a kind of foreign aid agencies from Switzerland , we develop four tourism destinations namely Island of Flores, Tanjung Puting, Toraja and Wakatobi," Mari said during a press conference quoting a tourist site.

Indonesian government is currently focusing on the 16 tourist destinations, but there are reasons why the four tourist destination of choice, because it is outside Java and Bali, which has the potential of tourism has not been developed yet.

The Swiss government assistance is a continuation of Phase I of the project related to the development of tourism on the island of Flores - NTT on 16 September 2010.

Local people welcomed the assistance related to the development and preparation of infrastructure for rural communities to be part of the tourism community.
